Dr. Donohue is a highly skilled and passionate dentist in Worcester who can't wait to meet you and help you smile. While at Tufts, he completed extensive research in the field of dental materials throughout his education and traveled to conferences both domestic and internationally to present his findings. He was awarded the Bates-Andrews Research Award for Pre-Doctoral Table Clinic Research and was inducted into the Robert R. Andrews Honor Society for his research. Dr. Donohue volunteered throughout his time at Tufts to provide dental treatment to underserved teenagers in Boston, MA. He was also the President of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Donohue earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Health Sciences from Skidmore College in 2013 and graduated Cum Laude. Additionally, he received the Margaret Paulding Award in Exercise Science as completing outstanding student research in health and exercise science. He is a published author in the field of protein expression in response to diet, exercise, and diabetes. That same year he pursued his dental career at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 2017 at the top of his class.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After completing is Doctorate of Dental Medicine, Dr. Donohue pursued specialty training at King’s County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. There, he completed a rigorous residency program gaining unparalleled experience in dental implant surgery, cosmetic, restorative, endodontics, and advanced full mouth reconstruction dentistry. Dr. Donohue has extensive expertise in managing medically complex patients in a Level One trauma emergency room. Upon completing his residency, he worked in a private practice in the heart of New York City for 5 years, serving a wide variety of patients. He has extensive expertise in aesthetic and implant dentistry.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Donohue is passionate about not only helping patients transform their smile into the most functional and esthetic outcome, but he also places the utmost importance on comprehensive oral health as it relates to the overall well being on his patients’. He holds high value in the importance of quality dentistry and continues to attend conferences, lectures, and residencies to further his knowledge in all aspects of dentistry. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Donohue believes in a balanced, healthy, lifestyle and enjoys running, skiing, hiking, and sailing in his free time.
